# Athens: Meteora Monasteries Tour, Caves, Beachfront Stops & Lunch

In our comparison: #19 of 22 in Meteora Tours, by rating weighted by review volume (table below).

## Overview

More than a transfer from Athens to Meteora, this is a carefully designed full-day road trip combining comfort, authentic local stops and a complete Meteora experience.

Instead of crowded highway service stations "near the sea", enjoy two genuine beachfront stops in Kamena Vourla town center, at Camino Beach Bar & Restaurant. Relax by the sea with optional drinks, desserts, coffee, brunch, cocktails or Greek and Italian dishes.

In Kastraki village, beneath the impressive Meteora rocks, enjoy a homemade Greek lunch at Efrosino Restaurant, with traditional local flavors.

In Meteora, explore the area with a knowledgeable local live English-speaking Tour Leader who brings its history, legends and hidden stories to life. Visit inside 3 active monasteries, enjoy panoramic stops overlooking all 6 monasteries, and discover the Hermit Caves.

Inside the monasteries, use our free audio guide app in 11 languages, with 21 points of interest, offline access and geolocation.
