Choose the tier with care: the basic version is a short Colosseum walk with unguided Forum entry, and only the top tier includes the underground, which is why prices start at €99 per person and climb. In our comparison: #125 of 132 in Colosseum, Forum & Palatine Tours, by rating weighted by review volume (table below). ## Overview Enjoy a premium tour of ancient Rome, combining a guided visit of the Colosseum with one of 3 ways to access it: With the REGULAR option, you’ll enjoy a 1-hour guided tour of the Colosseum’s main levels, followed by included (unguided) entry to the Roman Forum to explore on your own. Arena and Underground access are not included. Choose the ARENA option for a 3-hour guided experience that takes you onto the Arena Floor and continues through the Roman Forum with your guide. Inside the Colosseum, this option includes the Arena Floor only, not the Regular Levels or Underground. For the most complete experience, choose the UNDERGROUND option. This 3-hour guided tour includes the Colosseum’s Regular Levels, Arena Floor and fascinating Underground area, as well as a guided visit of the Roman Forum. Whichever option you choose, your Colosseum and Roman Forum entry is included. Please note that the Upper Levels of the Colosseum are not included in any option. ## Before you book - Meeting point: Meet us at the green kiosk at street… - Entry ticket included: skip the ticket desk - Group size varies by option: max 7 from €99 · max 24 from €119 · private from €389 - 22 start times: between 08:30 and 17:00 - Children from €79: ages 0 to 17 **Pickup:** No hotel pickup: everyone meets at the start point ## Key facts - Price: from €99 per person for the REGULAR Levels: 1h | Max 7 ppl option; other options up to €389 - Duration: 1h–3h - Rating: 4.66/5 from 5381 reviews (collected from Guidekin & Viator & Tripadvisor) - Likely to sell out - Operator: TOURIKS - Group: Group size varies by option: max 7 from €99 · max 24 from €119 · private from €389 - Guide languages: German, Portuguese, English, Italian, French, Spanish - Tickets: Admission included - Start times: 22 start times between 08:30 and 17:00 - Booking: Instant confirmation, mobile ticket - Price checked on Viator: 2026-09-26 ## Reviews 4.66 from 5381 ratings on Guidekin, Viator & Tripadvisor. 91% of ratings with a star breakdown are 4 or 5 stars: 4885 of 5381. - 5 stars: 4504 (84%) - 4 stars: 381 (7%) - 3 stars: 199 (4%) - 2 stars: 118 (2%) - 1 star: 179 (3%) ### What reviewers say Reviewers praise knowledgeable guides; the recurring caveat is Colosseum access that does not match booking expectations. **Praised:** - Knowledgeable guides explain the ruins through stories and historical context - Guides welcome questions and give detailed answers - Small groups allow conversation and a more personal experience - Guides seek out shade and cooler places to explain the sites **Complaints:** - Confusing option descriptions lead to disappointment over missing underground access - Ticket problems cause late schedule changes, delays and cancelled Colosseum access - Some report too little time in the Colosseum, while others describe an unhurried visit - Heat and exposed walking make the route uncomfortable for some visitors Written by Guidekin from the 100 most recent English reviews on Viator & Tripadvisor (2026-07-14 to 2026-10-02); last checked 2026-10-03. ## Tour options Prices are the operator's current list price for two travellers (whole euros); options sold only to bigger parties say so; pick the option on the booking page. | Option | Price | Guide languages | Details | |---|---|---|---| | REGULAR Levels: 1h / Max 7 ppl | €99 / person | English | Small Group of Max. 7 People Duration: 1 hour NO Arena NO Underground access: This includes a 1h guided tour of the Colosseum Regular Levels (no Arena/Underground) + unguided entry to Roman Forum | | ARENA Floor: 3h / Max 24 ppl | €119 / person | English | Group of Max. 24 People Duration: 3 hours Arena+Forum (NO Underground): This includes a 1h guided tour of the Colosseum Arena Floor (no Underground) & 1.5h guided tour to the Roman Forum.
