Tickets to all three sites and headsets are included at €99 per person. The attic is not part of it. In our comparison: #44 of 132 in Colosseum, Forum & Palatine Tours, by rating weighted by review volume (table below). ## Overview One Tour, Two Perspectives. Experience the Colosseum at the heart of Ancient Rome with an expert guide. The Arena Floor is the core of this experience. Step onto the gladiators’ stage and admire the impressive structure of the hypogeum from above, understanding how the underground system powered the ancient games. Choose how deeply you wish to explore: Arena Floor Route (Max 12 Guests) Walk onto the “stage” of the amphitheater and enjoy panoramic views from the center of the Arena. Underground Extension (Max 7 Guests) Descend into the restricted tunnels of the hypogeum and discover the engineering behind the games. Both options include access to the Upper Levels, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Experience the Colosseum not as a monument, but as a living stage of history. ## Before you book - Meeting point: our staff will be waiting at the meeting… - Entry ticket included: skip the ticket desk - Group size varies by option: max 12 from €99 · max 7 from €149 · max 6 from €169 - 7 start times: between 09:30 and 19:00 - Wheelchair accessible: operator-marked - Strollers OK: infants accepted - Children from €69: ages 0 to 17 - Non-refundable: no free cancellation **Pickup:** No hotel pickup: everyone meets at the start point ## Key facts - Price: from €99 per person for the Colosseum Arena Floor Tour option; other options up to €169 - Duration: 2h - Rating: 4.87/5 from 243 reviews (collected from Guidekin & Viator & Tripadvisor) - Operator: Roman Guides - Group: Group size varies by option: max 12 from €99 · max 7 from €149 · max 6 from €169 - Guide languages: English - Tickets: Admission included - Start times: 09:30, 10:30, 10:40, 13:30, 13:40, 14:30, 19:00 - Booking: Instant confirmation, mobile ticket - Price checked on Viator: 2026-09-25 ## Reviews 4.87 from 243 ratings on Guidekin, Viator & Tripadvisor. 97% of ratings with a star breakdown are 4 or 5 stars: 236 of 243. - 5 stars: 230 (95%) - 4 stars: 6 (2%) - 3 stars: 1 (0%) - 2 stars: 1 (0%) - 1 star: 5 (2%) ### What reviewers say Guides and small groups earn praise; some reviewers expected underground access but did not receive it. **Praised:** - Knowledgeable guides make Roman history clear through stories and humour - Small groups feel personal and are easy to keep together - Underground visits help explain how the Colosseum operated - Pictures and visual aids show how the Colosseum once looked - Time for questions and photographs at viewpoints chosen by the guide **Complaints:** - Some enjoyed underground access, while others expected it but did not receive it Written by Guidekin from the 100 most recent English reviews on Viator & Tripadvisor (2026-03-01 to 2026-09-25); last checked 2026-10-03. ## Tour options Prices are the operator's current list price for two travellers (whole euros); options sold only to bigger parties say so; pick the option on the booking page. | Option | Price | Guide languages | Details | |---|---|---|---| | Colosseum Arena Floor Tour | €99 / person | English | Small Group (Max 12 Guests): A carefully limited group size ensures better interaction with your guide and a more immersive visit.
