Dinner, an interpreter and photo opportunities are included; the event may need six to eight guests to proceed. 4.75 from 107 reviews at €210 per person for 2h. The Geisha Experience with Japan Awaits is a 2-hour cultural dinner designed for a small group, recreating the traditional ozashiki (geisha gathering). Guests will enjoy performances by certified geisha (or geiko, as known in Tokyo) from renowned hanamachi districts such as Asakusa, Shinbashi, Mukoujima, or Omori Kaigan. The evening includes traditional dance, music, and meaningful conversations with geisha—facilitated by an English interpreter for a richer, more immersive experience. ## Before you book - Group size varies by option: small group from €210 · private from €497 - Min. 2 to book: not for solo travellers - Starts 18:00: one departure a day - Non-refundable: no free cancellation **Pickup:** No hotel pickup: everyone meets at the start point ## Key facts - Price: from €210 per person for the Standard Geisha Dinner option; other options up to €497 - Duration: 2h - Rating: 4.75/5 from 107 reviews (collected from Guidekin & Viator & Tripadvisor) - Operator: Japan Awaits - Minimum booking: 2 travellers at this price - Group: Group size varies by option: small group from €210 · private from €497 - Guide languages: Japanese, English - Start times: 18:00 - Booking: Confirmation within 48 hours, mobile ticket - Price checked on Viator: 2026-11-07 ## Reviews 4.75 from 107 ratings on Guidekin, Viator & Tripadvisor. 94% of ratings with a star breakdown are 4 or 5 stars: 101 of 107. - 5 stars: 93 (87%) - 4 stars: 8 (7%) - 3 stars: 2 (2%) - 2 stars: 1 (1%) - 1 star: 3 (3%) ### What reviewers say Reviewers value the performances and conversations with geishas; some feel the experience does not justify the cost. **Praised:** - Music, dancing and games that keep the evening engaging - Opportunities to ask geishas about their lives and traditions - Helpful interpretation and explanations of etiquette and culture - Traditional dishes praised for their flavour and generous servings **Complaints:** - Some praise the food, while others find it challenging or disappointing - Some consider it good value, while others say it does not justify the cost Written by Guidekin from the 50 most recent English reviews on Tripadvisor & Viator (2023-10-23 to 2026-06-08); last checked 2026-11-08. ## Tour options Prices are the operator's current list price for two travellers (whole euros); options sold only to bigger parties say so; pick the option on the booking page. | Option | Price | Guide languages | Details | |---|---|---|---| | Standard Geisha Dinner | €210 / person (for 2+ people) | English, Japanese | Dinner event for a small group of about 10 people.
