## FAQ

**Should I book a shared or private whale shark tour from Cancún?**

For a couple watching costs, take the shared Small Group Whale Shark Encounter; choose Private Whale Shark Tour with Biologist for your own boat and biologist, charged per person. **How much does a whale shark tour from Cancún cost, and what is included?**

Budget beyond the fare for Whale Shark Swim and Isla Mujeres Beach: its marina tier includes breakfast, a guide and gear, but excludes hotel pickup, dock fees and tax. Across 7 tours, the median listed fare is €199 per person; the middle 50% runs from €190 to €215. These figures describe listed fares before separately charged extras. Browse whale shark tour fares: https://guidekin.com/mexico/cancun/whale-shark-tours-cancun/

**How long should I allow for a whale shark tour from Cancún?**

Give the private boat a day of its own; for a shorter outing, start with shared tours. Their listed median durations are 8 hours for private and 6 hours for shared. For example, Cancún Whale Shark Encounter is a shared tour at €199 per person, rated 4.72 from 188 reviews. Private Whale Shark Tour with Biologist lists €813 per person, rated 4.93 from 41 reviews. A listed duration does not establish hotel collection and return times. Filter by duration: https://guidekin.com/mexico/cancun/whale-shark-tours-cancun/?duration_max=5

**Are any whale shark tours from Cancún wheelchair accessible?**

2 of 6 shared tours are operator-marked accessible. Start there for wheelchair needs; choosing a private boat does not establish access. Of the private tours listed here, none are operator-marked accessible. For example, Private Whale Shark Tour with Biologist costs €813 per person, rated 4.93 from 41 reviews. Filter first, then confirm boarding, seating and any swimming assistance with the operator; the flag does not establish those details. Filter operator-marked access: https://guidekin.com/mexico/cancun/whale-shark-tours-cancun/?tour_type=shared&wheelchair=true

**Is hotel pickup included in whale shark tour prices from Cancún?**

For Cancún Whale Shark Encounter's starting fare, plan to reach the marina yourself. Choose a tier that explicitly includes hotel collection if you need it. 7 of 7 tours carry a hotel pickup flag, but that does not establish transport in every fare. For example, Cancún Whale Shark Encounter lists €199 per person, rated 4.72 from 188 reviews; its starting fare excludes pickup. Use the pickup filter to find flagged listings, then select a fare that explicitly covers your hotel.
