The advantage of carrying out this certification in Mexico is the great diversity of diving sites present. There are millions of animals, plants, caves and cenotes that can only be seen in Mexico. According to National Geographic, water covers more than 70 percent of the surface of our planet and only 2 to 5 percent of the oceans have been studied. There are more than 2.2 million species of organisms living in the oceans, of which only 194,400 are known. This 3-day course includes a theoretical and a practical part with 4 dives in the sea or in the cenotes. Our experienced instructor will help you master the theory with humor and professionalism. We will send you in advance a digital course manual so that you can learn before your holiday. Following the theoretical exam, you will officially join the ranks of divers! ## Before you book - Pickup differs by option: Hotel pickup only on 2 of 3 options (Hotels from Playa del Carmen,… - Min. 2 to book: not for solo travellers - Starts 08:30: one departure a day - Age rule: Minimum age is 10 years **Pickup:** Hotel pickup only on 2 of 3 options (Hotels from Playa del Carmen, Hotels from Riviera Maya) ## Key facts - Price: from €436 per person for the Hotels from Playa del Carmen option; other options up to €509 - Duration: 72h - Rating: 5.0/5 from 32 reviews (collected from Guidekin & Viator & Tripadvisor) - Free cancellation (see policy below) - Operator: Diversland Mexico - Minimum booking: 2 travellers at this price - Group: Shared tour - Guide languages: Russian, English, French, Spanish - Start times: 08:30 - Booking: Instant confirmation, mobile ticket - Price checked on Viator: 2026-10-09 ## Reviews 5.0 from 32 ratings on Guidekin, Viator & Tripadvisor. 100% of ratings with a star breakdown are 4 or 5 stars: 32 of 32. - 5 stars: 32 (100%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 star: 0 (0%) ## Tour options Prices are the operator's current list price for two travellers (whole euros); options sold only to bigger parties say so; pick the option on the booking page. | Option | Price | Guide languages | Details | |---|---|---|---| | Hotels from Playa del Carmen | €436 / person (for 2+ people) | Russian, Spanish, English, French | Hotel pickup and drop-off Pickup included | | Hotels from Cancun | €436 / person (for 2+ people) | Russian, Spanish, English, French | - | | Hotels from Riviera Maya | €509 / person (for 2+ people) | Russian, Spanish, English, French | Hotel pickup and drop-off Pickup included | ## What's included - Equipment - All Fees and Taxes - Hotel pickup and drop-off - Underwater video - Bottled water - Digital manual - PADI Open Water Diver certification - Practice in the pool and 4 open water dives - Professional certified multilingual instructor ## Not included - Diving insurance (optional) ## Schedule - Runs: daily - Departures: 08:30 - Schedule last checked: 2026-10-09 - These are published departures, not a live seat count; availability is confirmed at checkout. ## Cancellation For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. ## Meeting point Diving center :Diversland Mexico Calle 11 Sur Plaza Palmeiras, Local 5, Ejidal, 77720 Playa del Carmen, Q.R Ends: back at the meeting point ## Good to know - Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries - Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health - Not recommended for pregnant travelers - Suitable for all physical fitness levels - Minimum age is 10 years - Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended.
