Continuing up, we head in direction to one of the biggest tourist attractions of Madeira, Eira do Serrado at a height of  1053m (3455 feet), where we can enjoy the magnificent view of Nuns Valley, which once was a refuge for the Nuns of the Monastery of Santa Clara during the invasion of the French Privateers to the Island.
