# Tascas & Petiscos: A Local Lisbon Food Crawl

**Guidekin's take:** Our own evening crawl through three or four family run tascas, ordering what locals order: grilled sardines, cod fritters, cheese and presunto, with wine from the barrel at every stop and a ginjinha to finish. Extra drinks and hotel pickup are not included. €65 per person for 3h.

## Overview

Forget the set-menu food tours. This is how Lisbon actually eats: a wandering evening through the tascas, the small family taverns where the wine comes from the barrel, the petiscos keep coming, and nobody's in a hurry.

We move between three or four of them, the kind of places with paper tablecloths and a football match on in the corner, ordering what locals order: grilled sardines, pastéis de bacalhau, a plate of cheese and presunto, maybe something slow-cooked your guide swears by. There's wine at every stop, a shot of ginjinha to finish, and plenty of small talk with the owners along the way.

You'll leave full, a little merry, and with a list of places to come back to. Come hungry, that's the only rule.

## Itinerary

1. **A classic neighbourhood tasca** (35m) - We start with grilled petiscos and a glass of red straight from the barrel.
2. **A local favourite** (35m) - Pastéis de bacalhau, cheese and presunto, and the stories behind them.
3. **Off a quiet square** (35m) - Something slow-cooked your guide swears by, with more wine.
4. **A ginjinha to finish** (20m) - The sour-cherry shot Lisbon ends the night on.

## Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund.

## Meeting point

We meet at Praça da Figueira, by the statue in the heart of the old town. Look for your guide holding a small Guidekin sign.
