Then we journey up to Cabo Girao, the highest cliff in Europe and the second in the world. After being in the top of the world we continue our journey to see the nice view of Serrad'agua valley. After enjoying the view, we head to São Vicente, where we can see most of the Laurisilva forest in the island and famous for caves of volcanic origin. Continuing to the north, we go to Porto Moniz, known worldwide for its natural lava pools. If you want to swim, we can make sure there is some time for that. Finally we get to a hidden place - the window to Porto Moniz, Ribeira da Janela, finalizing the day in Lameiros to see an amazing view of São Vicente valley. ## Before you book - Hotel pickup: from 149 pickup points - Starts 09:00, 10:00: 2 departures a day - Food not included: Food and Drinks (Optional) - Strollers OK: infants accepted - Age rule: Specialized infant seats are available **Pickup:** Hotel pickup from 149 pickup points ## Key facts - Price: from €190 per group/vehicle for the 1 to 2 Pax Funchal, Caniço option; other options up to €460 - Duration: 7h - Rating: 4.97/5 from 74 reviews (collected from Guidekin & Viator & Tripadvisor) - Free cancellation (see policy below) - Operator: Pearl of the Atlantic - Group: Private tour, your party only - Guide languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish - Start times: 09:00, 10:00 - Booking: Confirmation within 48 hours, mobile ticket - Price checked on Viator: 2026-09-30 ## Reviews 4.97 from 74 ratings on Guidekin, Viator & Tripadvisor. 100% of ratings with a star breakdown are 4 or 5 stars: 74 of 74. - 5 stars: 72 (97%) - 4 stars: 2 (3%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 star: 0 (0%) ### What reviewers say Reviewers praise flexible itineraries and knowledgeable guides; no recurring drawback emerges from the supplied reviews. **Praised:** - Friendly guides with detailed knowledge of island history and culture - Flexible itineraries tailored to personal interests, family needs and preferred pace - Careful driving that lets passengers relax on narrow, winding roads - Local restaurant stops praised for their food - Photos taken and shared by the guide **Complaints:** - Lower ratings describe courteous guides and scenic stops, with no shared complaint Written by Guidekin from the 50 most recent English reviews on Viator & Tripadvisor (2019-05-26 to 2026-06-29); last checked 2026-10-04. ## Tour options Prices are the operator's current list price for two travellers (whole euros); options sold only to bigger parties say so; pick the option on the booking page. | Option | Price | Guide languages | Details | |---|---|---|---| | 1 to 2 Pax Funchal, Caniço | €190 per group | English, Spanish, Portuguese | Pick up from Funchal, Canico, Camara de Lobos.
