As with its catamaran sibling, Granada here means the province's coastline near La Herradura, not the Alhambra's city. In our comparison: #3 of 11 in Boat Trips & Sailing, by rating weighted by review volume (table below). ## Overview Welcome onboard with a chilled glass of champagne & fresh seasonal fruit & nibbles. Make yourself comfortable, whilst the skipper gives everyone a comprehensive safety briefing and answers any questions. We then set sail out of the marina and depending on the weather & sea conditions, we usually pass the Punta de la Mona headland and sail westwards into the beautiful bay of La Herradura. The skipper points out local historic attractions, including the site of a 16th Century shipping tragedy where 23 ships foundered, and the 12th Century stone watchtowers built along the coastline. We continue around the Cerro Gordo headland to the beautiful natural beach at La Cantarrijan. When the anchor drops for lunch, there is time to swim, snorkel, visit the old smugglers' caves (weather permitting) and have fun with the kayak and SUP paddleboards. This is the only 4-hour (half-day) sailing experience on this coastline which includes as much as you want to drink and a superb meal ## Before you book - Hotel pickup: from 90 pickup points - 5 start times: between 09:00 and 18:00 - Food included: Snacks, Lunch, Dinner - Wheelchair accessible: operator-marked - Children from €70: ages 6 to 12 - Non-refundable: no free cancellation **Pickup:** Hotel pickup from 90 pickup points ## Key facts - Price: from €140 per person - Duration: 4h - Rating: 4.84/5 from 44 reviews (collected from Guidekin & Viator & Tripadvisor) - Operator: Sailnplay - Group: Shared tour - Guide languages: English, French, Spanish - Start times: 09:00, 12:30, 13:30, 17:00, 18:00 - Booking: Instant confirmation, mobile ticket - Price checked on Viator: 2026-09-26 ## Reviews 4.84 from 44 ratings on Guidekin, Viator & Tripadvisor. 93% of ratings with a star breakdown are 4 or 5 stars: 41 of 44. - 5 stars: 41 (93%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 2 (5%) - 2 stars: 1 (2%) - 1 star: 0 (0%) ### What reviewers say Reviewers praise the crew, food and swimming stops; some question the decision to sail in rough seas **Praised:** - Attentive, welcoming crew who help guests feel at ease - Freshly prepared food and plentiful drinks - Swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding stops enjoyed by families - Spacious boat with room to spread out and relax - Dolphin sightings enjoyed on some outings **Complaints:** - Some felt the cruise should have been cancelled because of rough seas Written by Guidekin from the 37 most recent English reviews on Viator & Tripadvisor (2022-04-24 to 2026-09-14); last checked 2026-10-04. ## What's included - Full range of drinks included including Cava, Beer, Water, Soft Drinks, Gin, Vodka, Rum, Whiskyi - Snacks - Lunch - Use of Snorkelling equipment - Dinner - Breakfast - Stand Up Paddleboards ## Not included - Minibus transfers from you hotel or apartment can be booked separately.
