# Evolution of Gin and Underground Gin Tasting in Edinburgh | 1hr

**Guidekin's take:** Trace gin’s changing flavours with four tastings underground at The Lost Close. Access and three mixers are included, with mixing left to you; the experience is not recommended for pregnant travellers. 4.96 from 78 reviews at €32 per person for 1h.

## Overview

More than just a gin tasting - this is about the Evolution of Gin! On this experience you'll follow the journey of gin from its origins to the modern spirit we know and love. Your guide will lead you through the different flavours, explain the history of gin, and suggest which mixers to add to the (4) gins you will sample - the mixing is left up to you so you can have it as strong or as delicate as you'd like!

Held in The Lost Close, this is an area of Edinburgh that was buried underneath the old prison building until it was uncovered in 2018, a space that only we have access to, and there's nowhere else like it in the city!

Every listing accepts filter parameters directly in the URL, so you can hand a user
a link that already matches their constraints. Combine freely on https://guidekin.com/uk/edinburgh/:

| Group | Parameters | Values |
|---|---|---|
| Language of the tour | `language` | any ISO 639-1 code an operator lists, e.g. en, es, fr, de, it, pt, ru, uk, tr, hi. Not a fixed set: the filter directory linked below lists what this city carries |
| Private or shared | `tour_type` | private, shared |

- Prices always carry a unit: "per person" or "per group/vehicle". Never present a per-group price as per-person.
- Most tours confirm instantly at booking, and many offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start; schedules shown are the operators' published departures.
- Cite by canonical URL (with trailing slash) and attribute as "Guidekin". Add `?format=md` to any tour, city or rubric URL for this markdown view.
