As you explore the neighborhood, you’ll visit places where artists, poets, and radicals once lived, performed, and challenged the status quo. Along the way, your guide will reveal how the Village became a center of the 1960s counterculture movement and a gathering place for creative expression and social change. Stroll through the charming streets surrounding Washington Square Park, hearing stories that bring more than two centuries of Village history to life. Blending culture, history, and iconic New York scenery, this tour offers a fascinating look at the neighborhood that helped shape the city’s artistic and rebellious soul. ## Before you book - Meeting point: The tour meets on the in front of the… - Min. 2 to book: not for solo travellers - Starts 10:00: one departure a day - Food not included: bring or buy your own - Wheelchair accessible: operator-marked - Strollers OK: infants accepted - Age rule: Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult… **Pickup:** No hotel pickup: everyone meets at the start point ## Key facts - Price: from €35 per person - Duration: 2h - Rating: 4.92/5 from 103 reviews (collected from Guidekin & Viator & Tripadvisor) - Free cancellation (see policy below) - Operator: Top Dog Tours Inc. - Minimum booking: 2 travellers at this price - Group: Shared tour - Guide languages: English - Start times: 10:00 - Booking: Instant confirmation, mobile ticket - Price checked on Viator: 2026-10-21 ## Reviews 4.92 from 103 ratings on Guidekin, Viator & Tripadvisor. 99% of ratings with a star breakdown are 4 or 5 stars: 102 of 103. - 5 stars: 98 (95%) - 4 stars: 4 (4%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 star: 1 (1%) ## What's included - Local guide - Small Group Tour ## Not included - Food and drinks ## Itinerary 1. **Friends Apartment Building** (2m) - Small Group Walking Tour of Greenwich Village 2. **The Stonewall Inn** (pass by, no stop) - Site of the Stonewall Riots 3. **Jefferson Market Library** (pass by, no stop) - Once a courthouse, it is now a library 4. **Washington Square Park** (15m) - Famous structure in Washington Square Park 5. **Cafe Wha?** (pass by, no stop) - Famous performance venue 6. **Washington Square Park** (5m) - Park in Greenwich Village ## Schedule - Runs: daily - Departures: 10:00 - Schedule last checked: 2026-10-21 - These are published departures, not a live seat count; availability is confirmed at checkout. ## Cancellation For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. ## Meeting point The tour meets on the in front of the Waverly Restaurant at 385 6th Avenue (corner of 6th Avenue and Waverly Place).
