Named after the beloved Queen Kapiolani. 3. **Makalei Beach Park** (5m) - We visit this secret beach nestled at the base of Diamond Head. This beach has green sand crystal (Olivine's crystal) which is the primary reason this dormant volcanic mountain is called Diamond head. 4. **Shangri La** (5m) - We view the Doris Duke Shangri La estate from Diamond head lookout with informative narration about Doris and her amazing life in Hawaii. 5. **Diamond Head State Monument** (5m) - We visit the Diamond head lookout where Amelia Erhart memorial stone is placed in recognition of this early aviator's accomplishments. 6. **Diamond Head Crater Hike** (1h 30m) - We enter the Diamond Head crater via a tunnel, We have to stop at the entry booth to show the QR code for park entry.
