At historic Dalkey Castle (1390), Costumed Living History Actors bring the ancient history to colorful life with archery, barber surgery and a cook giving a masterclass on circular economy (nothing was wasted) in medieval times, as part of every guided tour. Tour also includes exploration of the atmospheric 10th Century St Begnet's church & graveyard connected with the site. The heritage center is also included with interactive screens in different languages & scale models. A Writers’ Gallery features interactive panels of the work of 45 locally connected creative artists from James Joyce to Bono and Samuel Beckett to Maeve Binchy.
