You'll hear tales about the Tuscan city of Lucca and its famous resident Puccini and see the Carrara marble quarries from the distance before learning about the Cinque Terre and its five fishing villages—Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso and Riomaggiore—that form the national park. Once you arrive in La Spezia, your expert tour leader will be there to guide you through the next part of your journey. You will leave the trail when you reach the village of Vernazza, one of the prettiest and most characteristic areas you will see on the Cinque Terre tour. Here you will have some free time to sit in one of the cheerful bars and cafés or even have a cooling swim in the sea – it’s the perfect time to get refreshed and prepare for the next part of the tour.

  • In case of unexpected closure of the paths for unforeseen events, alternative routes will be taken instead for those doing the hiking
  • A large amount of walking is involved for those doing the hiking. You must be of average fitness and be able to keep up with the rest of the group.
  • Due to uneven surfaces, we cannot accept anyone with walking difficulties, below average fitness, or young children.
  • Minimum age is 8 years.
