is one of the most famous squares in Rome, built by the Pamphili family. Its shape is that of an ancient stadium: it was built in monumental style at the behest of Pope Innocent X.

Trevi Fountain Stop 4
The Trevi Fountain is one of the most famous fountains in the world and a true masterpiece of Baroque art. Designed by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762, it represents Oceanus, the god of the sea, riding a shell-shaped chariot pulled by sea horses. Tradition says that tossing a coin into the fountain ensures a return to Rome.

Vicus Caprarius – the City of Water Stop 5
A few steps from the Trevi Fountain, over nine meters below today’s street level, the archaeological surveys carried out between 1999 and 2001 during the renovation of a cinema brought to light a large ancient residential complex. The term “City of Water”, commonly used to define the archaeological area of ​​Vicus Caprarius, is however due to the element that undoubtedly characterizes the site the most. In the 2nd century AD, a large water reservoir was built in a part of the building complex, probably used until the 6th century AD
