However, you don’t need to worry about actually competing with the locals by driving your own scooter. You get to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride from inside an Italian custom-made Vespa sidecar. Your expert guide will be at the wheel, taking you all over the city to main sights and hidden gems. Prepare yourself for an Italian ride of a lifetime. You will start your thrill ride in Piazza della Repubblica where you will meet your guide and driver who will prep you for the ride with safety instructions and equipment so you can ride in comfort. If you are travelling in a group, you will be provided with headsets that can be used in conjunction with your helmet so that you can safely listen to your guide as they point out the wonders of Ancient Rome whizzing by.

  • This tour is for passengers only (driving not permitted on this experience).
  • Each vehicle will be driven by a professional driver and can accomodate two guests: one in the sidecar and one on the vespa, behind the driver. The two guests can alternate at any stop.
  • If you would like to ride in the sidecar for the entire tour, please simply book two spots for every single individual that wants to ride in the sidecar the whole time: EX: if you are in two that both want to ride in the sidecar the whole time you must book for four; EX: if you are in two, one of which wants to ride in the sidecar the whole time and the other which doesn’t mind alternating with another participant, you must book for three; EX: if you are in four, two of which want to ride in the sidecar and two of which wants to switch off, you must book for six If the total number of people you are trying to book for ever exceeds six once you have multiplied by two the number of individuals requesting to ride the whole time in the sidecar you must book a Private tour.
  • Safety equipment to ride in scooters or sidecars will be provided or participants.
  • Sidecars have a safety requirement that passengers be at least 4 feet tall.
  • Maximum weight for sidecar passenger is 110kg / 240lbs.
  • Not suitable for children under 5 years; for the very young, they cannot alternate with the other guest and they will ride inside the sidecar for the entire tour with seatbelts on, kid size helmet and booster seat when needed.
  • When booking with children, please note their ages in your booking notes (to avoid penalty fees incase booster seat or helmets are unavailable)
  • In case of bookings with an odd number of guests, be aware that you will need to share the vehicle with another guest and alternate seats at every stop.
