Essaouira is a port city and resort on Morocco's Atlantic coast. Its medina (old town) is protected by 18th-century seafront ramparts called the Skala de la Kasbah, which were designed by European engineers. Old brass cannons line the walls, and there are ocean views. Strong "Alizée" trade winds make the city's crescent beach popular for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing

Pass by, no stopMeet your driver at your hotel in Marrakech, or at a central location, for the trip to Essaouira, a laid-back city that's cooled by sea breezes. On your way to Essaouira, make a stop at an Argan oil cooperative, learning how the golden oil is produced using traditional techniques. Upon arrival in Essaouira, set out on a short guided walking tour to get your bearings in the UNESCO-listed historic center, which is ringed by fortifications with great views of the ocean.
Then enjoy free time to see and do what you want.
