You will start your culinary adventure in Plaça del Comte de Bunyol, a hidden gem surrounded by beautiful architecture that invites both visitors and locals to dive in the atmosphere of the city. Here you will meet your local expert to head to the first stop! Have a taste of esgarraet (from the Valencian esgarradet). It's another typical dish of the Valencian Community. It consists of a special salad made with roasted red bell pepper, salted cod, garlic, and extra virgin olive oil. Otherwise, try a delicious pintxo of sardines. The perfect appetizer to start with.
30 min
Placa del Tossal Stop 3
Situated between the Barrio del Carmen and Plaza de la Virgen, Plaça del Tossal is another must-visit while in Valencia. Here you can see the Arabic influences that shaped Spanish history, such as the ruins of a Muslim tower or the city remparts from XII century. In a tapas bar nearby, you will have the chance to try a selection of local tapas, like Clóchinas, the small, thin Valencian sisters of mussels. This is the most beloved shellfish in the Valencian Community. Otherwise, indulge in a slice of potato tortilla or patatas bravas, Spain’s ultimate comfort food.
30 min
Valencia’s Central Market is a paradise you can’t miss Stop 4
It is a must-visit in this city, a gigantic pantry of modernist architecture. Here you’ll taste typical products from the market, like fish, cheese or ham and see how this place contains fresh produce from the garden and the flavors and smells of the Mediterranean inside (lunch only).
30 min
Plaza Redonda Stop 5
- literally "Round Square" - is probably one of the smallest, yet most charming squares in Valencia. The square was built in XIX century by Salvador Escrig Melchor and conceived as a circular pen. Nowadays, it's also known as "el clot" (the hole), and here locals go shopping in the several shops or at the small market that takes place every Sunday morning. And it's right near this symbol of the city that you will find your next stop, where you will get the chance to try different types of local pintxos, of course served with a glass of refreshing beer!

You will finish your food journey in one of the most famous squares in town, Plaça de la Reina, with its stunning architecture and its view on the Cathedral. In fact, in a bar right behind the square, you will taste the most typical sweet treat of the city: horchata and fartons. An authentic refreshing drink typical in the Valencian Community where you dip its perfect accompaniment, are an elongated, soft and absorbent sweet (lunch only). In the evening, you can try a refreshing glass of another Valencia classic: Agua de Valencia!
