Soufrière tours are the heart of a St Lucia holiday: the two Pitons rising from the sea, the Tet Paul nature trail with its view of both, the volcano and the estates behind the town. The cheapest is a shared island highlights day from €69 per person; the most expensive are private land and sea tours that drive down the coast and come back by boat, and the guided Gros Piton climb.
The Gros Piton hike is a steep four hour round trip with a mandatory local guide and an early start; it is not a stroll. Land and sea tours pack five stops into a day, so each stop is short, and the mud bath and botanical garden fees are sometimes paid on site.
