Itinerary

El Born Centre De Cultura I Memoria Stop 1
Inside this former 19th-century market, you can see the preserved ruins of an entire 18th-century neighborhood destroyed after the 1714 siege. From the elevated walkway, we view original streets and houses while explaining what happened in 1714 and how it changed Barcelona’s history. We found an old part of our history underneath this beautiful market.
15 min
Parc de la Ciutadella Stop 2
This is the place where the Universal Exposition of 1888 took place. Later, the park where Picasso and his family used to enjoy.
15 min
Parlament de Catalunya Stop 3
The building was originally constructed in the 18th century as part of a military arsenal within the Bourbon citadel built after 1714. Over time, it was transformed and today houses the Catalan Parliament, where regional laws are debated and approved. During the bike tour, we explain how this space evolved from a symbol of military control into the democratic institution that represents Catalonia today — a powerful example of how Barcelona has transformed its history.
15 min
Gran Lago del Parque de la Ciudadela Stop 4
This grand fountain was designed in the late 19th century, with early collaboration from a young Antoni Gaudí. Inspired by classical triumphal arches, it features dramatic sculptures, golden details, and a monumental waterfall that makes it one of the highlights of the park. During the bike tour, we take a short break here to enjoy the setting, explain its connection to Gaudí’s early career, and give guests time for photos in one of Barcelona’s most beautiful green spaces.
5 min
Arco di Trionfo Stop 5
Whiles riding in one of our most beautiful parks in the city, we will be able to have a glimpse of the majestic Arc de Triomf.
Pass by
Port Olimpic Stop 6
This part of the sea front was completely transformed for the summer Olympic Games of 1992. Here we will have the chance to discover what those games meant for the city of Barcelona.
10 min
La Barceloneta Stop 7
During the bike tour, we ride along Barcelona’s beautiful beachfront, enjoying a relaxed and scenic stretch by the Mediterranean. We pass wide cycle lanes with open sea views, local beach life, and iconic spots along the coast. It’s one of the most refreshing parts of the route — flat, easy, and perfect for soaking in the atmosphere while riding comfortably by the water.
10 min
Club Natacio Atletic-Barceloneta Stop 8
At the end of the coastal stretch, we reach the breakwater next to the iconic W Barcelona. Here, right by the edge of the sea, you get one of the most open and striking views of the Barcelona skyline — with the Mediterranean on one side and the city stretching behind you. It’s a calm and spacious spot, perfect to pause, feel the sea breeze, take photos, and enjoy a unique perspective of the city before continuing the bike tour back toward the historic center.
5 min
Port Vell (Old Port) Stop 9
We also pass by El Cap de Barcelona, a striking pop-art sculpture by Roy Lichtenstein located near Port Vell. This colorful mosaic face combines bold lines and bright ceramic tiles, blending modern art with the Mediterranean light. Inspired by comic-style aesthetics, it represents the playful and creative spirit of Barcelona. It’s a fun and unexpected stop during the bike tour — perfect for photos and a quick explanation of how contemporary art became part of the city’s seafront identity.
10 min
Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar Stop 10
, or as the people of Barcelona know it: La Catedral del Mar (the Sea Cathedral). This emblematic Gothic Basilica in the Born Area, was build by the people of this same neighborhood to protect us from the sea.
15 min
El Born Stop 11
We will take you in a maze of little streets, where during medieval times all the craftsmen and women used to have their workshops. Now a days, this essence is still very present along these streets. You will be able to find here hand-made clothes, jewelry, etc.
